FASTDefense for Teenagers Program
Children experience some of their most difficult interpersonal situations and conflicts during the adolescent and teenage years. Puberty changes, extreme desires for peer acceptance and to "fit in" somewhere are motivating factors behind the majority of teenage conflicts in and out of school.

Ages 12-17, 15 student/class max, 2.5 hr. duration.

In this Fun and Exciting Program Teenage Students learn the following skills and techniques:
  • Awareness skills that allow detection of a potential threat before it occurs!
  • How to avoid being picked out as an easy victim. (Interviews with convicted felons have shown that attackers search for specific body language in their victims.)
  • Learn to carry themselves so that assailants will not single them out!
  • How to avoid inappropriate attention and touch
  • How to properly decline offer's of drugs, tobacco and alcohol
  • How to avoid common mistakes:
AGGRESSIVE behavior (how not to pick fights!)
PASSIVE behavior (How not to be picked on)
  • How to act ASSERTIVELY and communicate properly
  • How to avoid RAPE, and other violent encounters
  • FIND THE POWER OF THE VOICE! - F.B.I. statistics say that 70 - 80% of assaults can be stopped by good verbal boundaries alone.
  • How to transform fear into a source of power & strength and What to do in a worse case scenario should the student be physically attacked. Students will learn simple and effective personal defense skills to escape a dangerous situation.
NOTE: Statistics show that this method of training allows the student while in the Fear state, to find a creative and effective resolution to the threat. Most FAST Defense students never have to use their personal defense skills due to increased knowledge on how to diffuse a situation, thus keeping it from becoming violent!
