		Everyday kids are in HOT ZONES where inappropriate and often violent behavior occurs. The FASTDefense Programs provide appropriate, effective and retainable skills for dealing with the various difficult situations they encounter in and out of school. FASTDefense for Kids Program Ages 6-11, 25 student max/class, 90 minute duration The total child safety “package”, this course is an interactive program covering the 3 crucial components for effective Child Safety: 1. Awareness Skills to detect and avoid common hostile situations found in school and at home. Understand the psychological and emotional dynamics of interpersonal conflict. Define Bullying and Abduction cause and affect. 2. Verbal De-Escalation Skills to talk down a hostile student or adult. Define and Enforce personal space through Assertive Boundary Setting should that person not cooperatively leave. 3. Physical Techniques proven to work against attackers regardless of size or physical strength! Students learn to transform their Fear into Power by safely practicing their skills. Combines FASTDefense against Bully’s and FASTDefense against Strangers Programs Teams consisting of male and female instructors teach all programs. Children gain confidence from the new choices they learn enabling them to deal with a wide variety of situations. Our students are much less likely to act out of anger or fear, or have to use physical resistance after asserting proper awareness skills and appropriate de-escalation behavior.
