Conflict Resolution & Management
The most important and encouraging benefit of the various FASTDefense Programs is the acquisition of appropriate conflict resolution & management skills. Providing effective means to handle the myriad of interpersonal conflicts we experience allows children, teens and adults to lead safe and enjoyable lives.
Lower Anxiety
In our FASTDefense Programs, participants learn skills to deal with situations that make them uncomfortable or in risk of danger, such as: Playground altercations, Dealing with name calling and Bullies, Protecting personal “space” and Possessions, Home safety, Abduction, Unwanted Attention, Aggression from a stranger. By integrating these new skills into their lives, participants will gain more options and choices. The result is reduced anxiety, which allows them to focus their energy on studies, sports, friends, family, or job without worrying about their personal safety.
Increase Self-Confidence
By meeting the physical and emotional challenges of the FASTDefense Programs, participants feel empowered. This empowerment prepares them to more easily address present and future challenges at school, home or at work. They learn that they are stronger and more capable than they ever thought possible.
Optimize Assessment Skills
Participants learn how to quickly assess options and make appropriate choices. The FASTDefense training allows participants to experience thinking on their feet while in an adrenalized state. This unique experience transfers into their school, home and work lives resulting in increased problem solving ability.
Enhanced Communication
Participants learn how to de-escalate, be direct, say “NO”, ask for what they want, take responsibility for their needs, and set and enforce boundaries. Learning better communication skills is essential for increased self-confidence and interpersonal relationships.
Promote Team & Peer Building
Participants learn the benefits of team/peer support and positive reinforcement (from others and self), as well as the value of having successful experiences, being self-reliant and taking initiative. The program also fosters male and female teamwork and leadership, through the modeling of our professional teaching staff.
